Design strategy and set goals for growth. Be responsible for profitability of the retail division as a whole. Control budgets and optimise expenses. Ensure employees are motivated and productive. Ensure food hygiene and health and safety compliance across all retail sites.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
- Direct the employee assessment process.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
- Ensure team follow food hygiene regulations.
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors).
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a GM or similar executive role.
- Experience in planning and budgeting.
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.).
- Strong analytical ability.
- Excellent communication, organisations and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
